At the Bodensee, a border between Germany, Austria and Switzerland never has been officialy defined. This is unique for Europe.
From the former military baths „Mili“, located at Bregenz, people could visit the refugee Abdoulaye by rubber boat. He himself came close to the austrian coast by motorboat. We met him a few days before the opening in Lindau (germany) and due to his residence obligation he couldn’t come to the exhibition in Bregenz (austria) although he wanted to.
People could talk to him, listen to his story or take a selfie together with him. The photo was printed onshore and sticked on a photo wall.
